OUR VISION
Our Vision Is to have a community in which everyone is able to speak and be heard hence contributing to a better future.

OUR MISSION
To give people a platform in the community in which there voices can be amplified and heard hence contributing to a better future

Goals [suggestions]
- be the role model/change agents in Kibera
- culture where everybody has an equal right of representation.
- portray the true image of Kibera
- platform for the voices of the local people.
- create employment.
- create job opportunity to the local members and youth
- update and help transform the community

1.WHO ARE WE AS KNN
- the community representatives
-the group that is focused to become journalists
-eye of the community -change agents
'We are a group of journalists acting as the eye and the voice of the community'

2. WHO IS OUR TARGET AUDIENCE?
-everybody -the community -local and international audience
'Those that can bring positive impact on issues that we raise'

3. WHAT TYPE OF CHANGE DO WE WANT TO BRING?
-improve the living standards of those in the community
-bring about positive change -change of peoples perception/attract investors, donors etc. -giving or amplifying the voice of the people

4. HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT FROM 'THE OTHERS'?
- we are a community media, working with different groups for a common goal
- we carry out monthly screenings in our community

5. WHICH AREAS DO WE COVER[PLACES OF INTEREST]?
-we cover interesting stories both in Kibera and beyond.

STRUCTURE
We had an election and the officials were chosen to be
Chairman; Joshua Owino
Secretary; Steve Oduor
Public Relation; George Waweru
Organiser; Joe Gathecha


RECRUITMENTS

if we need a certain number of people we'll double the number so as to have an easy time in knowing the serious guys
we'll need more girls than boys, dismissal will depend on rules to be set

on map kibera we thought that may be we can have our own account

each team was supposed to have at least two videos per week 2 show,
the meeting tyme was moved to 9am
In the 2 projects, at least each member should participate , they should consult the absent members.

We have developed a procedure on how to recruit new people and how to suspend non serious members.

we have discussed how to relate to Map Kibera (We shall explain on Tuesday how}

Work plan {what each member or group is expected to have achieved in a week}

Budget
We All have agreed to sh.350 per day for seven days per person, which sum up to sh.2,450 to cater for basic needs for the present members which should be in effect from the first day of August 2010.
We also discussed on how to reward those who do great on different aspects for motivation but we will discuss the sum in the next meeting.
for advance payments we have agreed that if payments will be made on a monthly basis then we shall print advance forms that whoever in need will be required to fill and payments shall be made from the 15Th day of every month.
For Joe who requested for advance pay earlier he can be paid the salary for the first week of august only come on Tuesday.

Technical fixing
We have agreed that the technitian will do all the calculatios then hand it over to the commettee for approval.

The group will sit down and come up with the kind of equipments we might need and how much they might cost.

We set a number of questions which helped us come up with Goals , missions, Visions and objectives, the questions are as follows,
1. What type of Journalists do we want to be?
2. Who is K.N.N?
3. Which area would we want to cover, Who is our target audience?
4. What changes are expected to come from us by the community?
5. How do we want to relate with the other groups within the trust?
Everyone is expected to come with their individual answers to the questions by next week to help in writting down the vision, mission and goals.
